Join Us for an Evening with Mel Mintz!
“Mel” Mintz grew up in Minnesota, land of the “Great Purple One” – PRINCE. In his early years, Mel performed extensively with various local theater groups, but eventually found his real home on stage playing live music in all types of venues for all kinds of audiences. His projects provided warmup acts for the likes of Peter Tork and his blues project Shoe Suede Blues, as well as Joey Molland and Badfinger. Mel’s favorite project before relocating to Florida was as music director for Elvis tribute artist, Art Kistler. This show gave the audience not just a performance, but a memorable, fun evening to remember for months on end. Whether in front of 25 friends and family members or 5,000 people at an outdoor festival, Mel insists on leaving it all on the stage. He puts on an intimate and interactive show, seamlessly shifting his energy and passion to his audience. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at the wide range of music and artists that Mel includes in his show. His influences cover a broad spectrum of music from the past, including (just to mention a few) Prince, Elvis Presley, Elton John, Frank Sinatra, Billy Joel, Jimmy Buffett, The Beatles, The Doors, Ray Charles, The Eagles, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and so much more.
Mel is also band leader of MEL and the MISFITS and music director/band leader for the
LEESBURG BLUES BROTHERS “Fresh Out Of Prison” SHOW.
