Not even a hurricane can stop our club from helping our local first graders!
The Noon Villages Rotary Club looks forward to Fire Prevention Week every year. Our club members distribute personalized fire safety books to the first graders attending four local elementary schools. Approximately 500 books were distributed this year. 18 Rotary volunteers took turns reading to 27 different classrooms on 4 different days. It is one way that our Noon Rotary Club positively engages with the community.
The “Magic” of Rotary begins when the students receive their own books, personalized with their very own name, as the main character of the story. Seeing their name throughout the book ignites their excitement.
